FC 25: Advanced Passing Guide and the Best Passers

By Lucia

We are well aware that passing is a fundamental mechanic in football and it allows players to move the ball effectively throughout the field. But how exactly does it work in FC 25? Why is it that you are not able to pass as easily as in the previous versions? I will answer that in this advanced passing guide for EA FC 25.

Keep in mind that I won’t be talking about basic types of passing, their controls, and how to perform them. If you’re looking for advanced guides, it is a given that you’re already aware of those mechanics, so let’s get started!

What’s New About Passing in FC 25?

If you haven’t read the official “Gameplay Deep Dive” article, you should. Everything new in FC 25 is mentioned there on the official EA website.

Coming back to passing, along with a lot of changes and additions, FC 25 has made significant changes to the FC 25 passing mechanics. It no longer works as it used to in the previous versions.

The aim here was to make passing more authentic and rewarding, according to EA. The new FC 25 passing system is designed to reflect real-life challenges.

In the previous versions of FC, you could pass the ball as soon as it reached you. Players abused this mechanic and constantly passed the ball from one player to another with great accuracy. It is commonly known as ping-pong passing in the FC community.

However, in FIFA 25, it is no longer possible. One, you can no longer abuse that mechanics and two, it is now a challenge to pass accurately and from different angles under pressure.

The term EA used here is “personality-based,” meaning the player you’re controlling is going to impact how your passing is going to be.

And from my understanding, the skills and attributes of the players are now much more important to focus on, especially when it comes to FC 25 passing.

To help you find players with great passing skills, I will be listing out a few names. If you don’t already have these players, then check out EA FC players and get them for the cheapest prices. You can sort and find players by name, platform, position, and more. Give it a try.
